Got Heavy Luggage? Take the Airport Bus from Incheon Airport — Not the Subway

Last checked: August 27, 2026 If you are arriving at Incheon Airport with a large suitcase — especially a 24- to 30-inch case, two bags, children, or older family members — the airport limousine bus is often easier than taking AREX and transferring to the Seoul subway . The train may look faster on a timetable. But that number only measures time on the train. It does not measure dragging a suitcase through the airport station, finding an elevator, transferring at Seoul Station, navigating another subway station, finding the correct exit, and finally walking to your hotel. With heavy luggage, the best route is often the one that minimizes how many times you have to move your suitcase — not the one with the shortest scheduled travel time. There are exceptions.
