The train may look faster on a timetable. But that number only measures time on the train. It does not measure dragging a suitcase through the airport station, finding an elevator, transferring at Seoul Station, navigating another subway station, finding the correct exit, and finally walking to your hotel. With heavy luggage, the best route is often the one that minimizes how many times you have to move your suitcase — not the one with the shortest scheduled travel time. There are exceptions.
